China Energy Engineering wins bid for coal-fired project

China Energy Engineering Corporation (HKEX:3996) announced that its subsidiary, China Electric Power Engineering Consulting Group Northwest Electric Power Design Institute Co., Ltd., in consortium with another subsidiary, won the bid for the EPC contract for the China Xinjian Electric Power Bingzhun Park 6×660MW Coal-fired Power Project. The project, secured with a winning bid of approximately RMB14.586 billion, involves the construction of six 660MW ultra-supercritical coal-fired power generating units, alongside environmental protection facilities. The total construction period is estimated to be 36.5 months. Investors are advised to pay attention to the investment risks as of the date of this announcement, relevant parties have not entered into a formal contract with the Project owner, and the Project is still subject to uncertainty.
