Standard Chartered announces board and committee leadership changes

** Standard Chartered PLC (HKEX:2888) today announced several significant changes to its board and committee leadership following its Annual General Meeting. Maria Ramos has officially commenced her role as Group Chair, succeeding José Viñals, who stepped down from the Board. Consequently, Ramos has relinquished her position as Senior Independent Director, a role now assumed by Phil Rivett, who will also chair the Board Risk Committee, subject to regulatory approval. Jackie Hunt has been appointed Chair of the Audit Committee, also pending regulatory approval. In the interim, Rivett will continue to chair the Audit Committee until Hunt's approval is received. Hunt has also been appointed to the Governance and Nomination Committee, effective 8 May 2025, with Ramos being appointed as Chair of the Governance and Nomination Committee effective immediately.
