Ganfeng Lithium reports Q1 loss amid revenue decline

Ganfeng Lithium Group Co., Ltd. (HKEX:1772) has announced its first-quarter results for 2025, revealing a challenging start to the year. Operating income decreased by 25.43% to RMB3.77 billion compared to the same period last year. The company reported a net loss attributable to shareholders of RMB355.83 million, reversing the profit seen in the corresponding period of the previous year. Basic and diluted earnings per share both stood at -RMB0.18. The decline is partly attributed to decreases in lithium prices and reduced profitability from associates and joint ventures. Total assets stood at RMB104.53 billion, a 3.67% increase year-over-year. The company highlighted advancements in its Mariana lithium salt-lake project in Argentina and ongoing adjustments in its subsidiary, Shenzhen Yichu.
