Kuaishou appoints Lu Rong as independent non-executive director

Kuaishou Technology (HKEX: 1024) has appointed Ms. Lu Rong as an independent non-executive Director, effective April 28, 2025. This follows the resignation of Prof. Xiao Xing from the same role, due to other business commitments. Prof. Xiao also resigned from her positions on the Audit Committee, Remuneration Committee, Nomination Committee, and Corporate Governance Committee. Consequently, Ms. Lu has been appointed to fill these committee roles. Ms. Lu, aged 54, is a venture capitalist with experience in technology start-ups and is the founder of Atypical Ventures. She has also served at DCM China and Goldman Sachs & Co. Prior to her Kuaishou appointment, Ms. Lu held directorships in Volvo Car AB, Unilever PLC, Uxin Limited, and Yum China Holdings, Inc. As an independent non-executive Director, Ms. Lu will receive an annual director's fee of HKD 750,000. Kuaishou's board has expressed its gratitude to Prof. Xiao for her contributions and welcomed Ms. Lu, anticipating her broader perspective in strategic planning and business development.
