CGN Power's Q1 2025 revenue up, profit dips

CGN Power Co. (HKEX:1816) announced its first-quarter results for 2025, revealing a mixed financial performance. Operating revenue increased to CNY20.028 billion, a 4.41% rise compared to the restated CNY19.181 billion for the same period in 2024. However, net profit attributable to shareholders of the listed company fell by 16.07% to CNY3.026 billion, down from the restated CNY3.604 billion in the prior year. The company attributed the profit decrease primarily to an increase in power volume of market transactions, an decrease in power price and the progress of research and development. Total on-grid power generation increased by 9.41% to 56.689 billion kWh.
