Weichai Power delays circular despatch on connected transactions

Weichai Power (HKEX:2338) has announced a delay in the distribution of a circular related to its major and continuing connected transactions. The circular, initially expected to be sent to shareholders on or before April 22, 2025, will now be despatched on or before May 28, 2025. The delay is attributed to the need for additional time to finalize certain information to be included in the document. The circular contains details on the deposit services under the New Financial Services Agreement, a letter from the Independent Board Committee to the Independent Shareholders regarding these services, and advice from the Independent Financial Adviser to the Independent Board Committee and Shareholders. The announcement was made by order of the Board of Directors, with Ma Changhai, Chairman, signing off on April 22, 2025, from the PRC.
