China Energy Engineering wins Weihai thermal power project bid

China Energy Engineering Corporation (HKEX:3996) announced that its subsidiary, China Electric Power Engineering Consulting Group Northeast Electric Power Design Institute Co., Ltd., leading a consortium, won the bid for the EPC General Contracting Project of the Weihai Thermal Power 2x660MW Cogeneration Project. The winning bid amounts to approximately RMB5.118 billion. The project involves the construction of two 2x660MW ultra-supercritical coal-fired power generating units, complemented by high-efficiency dedusting and flue gas desulphurization and denitrification systems. The construction is expected to take around 26 months. The company cautions that a formal contract with the project owner is pending, and the project remains subject to uncertainties.
