Hengan International Group announces passing of deputy chairman

Hengan International Group (HKEX: 1044) has announced the passing of Mr. Hui Lin Chit, one of its founders, Deputy Chairman, and an Executive Director, on April 17, 2025. Mr. Hui was instrumental in growing the company into one of China's largest personal and household hygiene product manufacturers. Before stepping down as Chief Executive Officer in 2021, his career was distinguished by his deep knowledge and entrepreneurial spirit in the domestic daily products industry. The Board of Directors believes that Mr. Hui's passing will not impact the group's operations and is committed to continued growth. The current board comprises Mr. Sze Man Bok (Chairman), Mr. Hui Ching Lau (Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer), and Executive Directors Mr. Xu Da Zuo, Mr. Sze Wong Kim, Mr. Hui Ching Chi, Mr. Li Wai Leung, and Mr. Xu Wenmo. Independent Non-executive Directors include Ms. Ada Ying Kay Wong, Mr. Theil Paul Marin, Mr. Ho Kwai Ching Mark and Mr. Chen Chuang. The Board has five committees: Audit, Nomination, Remuneration, Environmental, Social and Governance, and Share Incentive.
