Prudential plc executes share buyback program on London Exchange

Prudential plc (HKEX: 2378) announced that it has repurchased 260,000 of its ordinary shares, at prices ranging from GBP 7.5740 to GBP 7.7620, through Barclays Capital Securities Limited on the London Stock Exchange. The buyback, executed in accordance with shareholder authorization from the 2024 Annual General Meeting, is part of an ongoing program. The volume-weighted average price paid was GBP 7.6729. Prudential intends to cancel the repurchased shares, leading to a total of 2,608,997,013 shares outstanding. This figure is relevant for shareholders determining their notification requirements under FCA disclosure rules. The repurchase contributes to the company having repurchased 144,245,004 shares under the current mandate, leaving 274,967,019 shares authorized for repurchase. The company confirmed these purchases were executed in compliance with domestic rules for purchases made on the exchange.
