Metallurgical Corporation of China appoints new joint company secretary

Metallurgical Corporation of China Ltd. has appointed Mr. Chang Qi as its new Joint Company Secretary and Authorised Representative, succeeding Mr. Wang Zhen, who resigned due to work arrangement adjustments. The appointment was approved at a Board meeting held on April 16, 2025, and is subject to a waiver granted by the Stock Exchange. Due to Mr. Chang’s lack of qualifications under Rule 3.28 of the Listing Rules, Ms. Ng Sau Mei, another Joint Company Secretary, will assist him for a three-year period, as part of a waiver granted until April 15, 2028. Mr. Chang, previously Deputy Chief Economist of the company, brings extensive experience in corporate governance. The board expressed gratitude to Mr. Wang for his service and welcomed Mr. Chang to the role.
