BYD shareholders approve 2025 employee share ownership plan

BYD Company Limited announced the successful passage of all resolutions proposed at its Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) concerning the 2025 Employee Share Ownership Plan (ESOP). The resolutions, approved by shareholder poll, included adopting the 2025 ESOP (Draft), its Management Measures, and granting the Board authority to manage matters related to the plan. A total of 3,039,065,855 shares were eligible to vote, with results showing strong support for the proposals. For instance, the resolution to approve the BYD Company Limited 2025 Employee Share Ownership Plan (Draft) secured 1,829,791,866 votes for, 6,478,674 against, and 294,400 abstentions. The meeting took place in Shenzhen on April 15, 2025, with key company directors in attendance.
