Sunny Optical reports mixed shipment volumes for March

** Sunny Optical Technology (HKEX:2382) announced its March 2025 shipment volumes, showcasing a mixed performance across its product lines. Spherical glass lenses experienced a substantial 65.5% month-on-month increase and a 10.8% year-on-year increase. Vehicle lens sets also saw growth, increasing 11.5% month-on-month and 16.5% year-on-year, driven by increased customer demand. However, handset lens sets decreased by 2.9% month-on-month and 16.3% year-on-year as the company shifts focus to higher-end products. Handset camera modules experienced a 5.5% month-on-month increase, but a year-on-year decrease of 10.9%. Microscopic instruments experienced a 46.4% month-on-month increase and a significant 78.8% year-on-year increase. The company attributes changes in handset related volume to a shift towards high-end projects.
