Prudential executes share buyback program on London Stock Exchange

Prudential plc (HKEX:2378) announced today that it has purchased 2,500,000 of its ordinary shares at prices ranging from GBP6.8820 to GBP7.1200, with an average price of GBP7.0362 per share. The buyback was executed through Barclays Capital Securities Limited as part of the company's previously announced share repurchase program authorized at the 2024 Annual General Meeting. Following this transaction, Prudential intends to cancel the purchased shares, resulting in a total of 2,610,297,013 shares in issue and the same number of total voting rights. The company confirmed that the buyback complied with the rules of the London Stock Exchange and the Hong Kong Code on Share Buy-backs.
