China Pacific Insurance invests in Shanghai Sci-Tech Fund III

China Pacific Insurance (Group) Co., Ltd. (HKEX: 2601) announced that its subsidiary, CPIC Life, has entered into an agreement to participate in the establishment of the Shanghai Sci-Tech Innovation Fund III. On April 9, 2025, CPIC Life committed RMB800 million to the fund as a limited partner. The fund aims to focus on strategic emerging and high-tech industries. The proposed total capital subscription of the fund is RMB8 billion. The participation is classified as a connected transaction due to International Group's substantial shareholding in both CPIC and Shanghai Sci-Tech Innovation. The board views the transaction as fair, reasonable, and in the best interests of the company and its shareholders.
