China Energy enters Astana water supply project contract

China Energy Engineering Corporation (HKEX:3996) announced that China Gezhouba Group Stock Company Limited, its subsidiary, has entered into a contract with Astana Capital Water Supply Company for the Astana Water Supply Project. The project, located in Astana, Kazakhstan, is valued at approximately KZT651.2 billion, equivalent to RMB9.6 billion. The project scope includes the design, procurement, construction, and commissioning of a water intake pumping station with a capacity of 342,000 m³/day, two booster pumping stations, a water pipeline with a total length of approximately 400 km, and a water purification plant with a treatment capacity of 210,000 m³/day. The total construction period is estimated to be 36 months. This announcement was made on a voluntary basis.
