BOC Aviation expands fleet with Airbus and Boeing orders

BOC Aviation (HKEX:2588) has announced major transactions involving the purchase of 70 Airbus A320NEO family aircraft and 50 Boeing 737-8 aircraft, further expanding its extensive portfolio. The agreements, finalized on March 28, 2025, represent qualified aircraft leasing activities that will see the Airbus aircraft delivered through 2032 and the Boeing aircraft through 2031. As of December 31, 2024, BOC Aviation's portfolio comprised 709 owned, managed, or on-order aircraft and engines. The company confirms these transactions were entered into in its ordinary course of business on normal commercial terms. While the Airbus transaction constitutes a major transaction requiring announcement, it is exempt from circular and shareholder approval requirements under Listing Rule 14.33C as it is a qualified aircraft leasing activity.
