BOCHK highlights green finance growth in 2024 report

BOC Hong Kong (Holdings) Limited (HKEX: 2388) released its 2024 Sustainability Report, highlighting a 28.8% year-over-year increase in its green and sustainable loan business. The report details the bank's efforts to promote sustainable development, including issuing RMB12 billion in green bonds and expanding green finance support to Southeast Asia. BOCHK's commitment to carbon neutrality is also highlighted, with the BOC Tower and BOC Building achieving carbon-neutral status. The bank actively supports local SMEs, elder financial security, community-level financial education, environmental protection and sports development in Southeast Asia. BOCHK has been awarded the "Asia-Pacific Climate Leaders" for the third consecutive year. The bank is setting a goal of operational carbon neutrality by 2030.
