Prudential executes share buyback on London Stock Exchange

Prudential plc (HKEX:2378) announced today the purchase of 500,000 of its ordinary shares at 5 pence each, executed on the London Stock Exchange through Barclays Securities Limited. The shares were bought back in accordance with shareholder authorization granted at the 2024 Annual General Meeting. The lowest price paid per share was GBP 7.3740, while the highest price reached GBP 7.5800, with an average price of GBP 7.5419. The company intends to cancel the purchased shares, leaving 2,626,687,013 shares in issue and the same number of voting rights. Trading took place across multiple venues, with the London Stock Exchange seeing the highest volume at 163,778 shares. All shares were purchased as an on-exchange transaction.
