Prudential executes share buyback program on London Stock Exchange

Prudential plc (HKEX:2378) announced today that it has purchased 633,451 of its own ordinary shares at 5 pence each on the London Stock Exchange. The transaction was executed through Barclays Securities Limited and is part of the share buyback program authorized at the company's 2024 Annual General Meeting. The repurchased shares will be cancelled, reducing the total number of outstanding shares to 2,638,917,123. The lowest price paid per share was GBP 6.6420, the highest was GBP 6.7600, and the average price was GBP 6.7282. Following the cancellation, the number of voting rights attached to the company's shares will be 2,638,917,123. This will be the figure used by shareholders to determine whether they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in Prudential Plc.
