Coolpad revenue up 47.1% despite continued losses

** Coolpad Group (HKEX: 2369) announced increased revenue of HK$252.3 million for the six months ended June 30, 2024, a 47.1% jump compared to HK$171.5 million in the same period last year. This growth is attributed to the company's entry into the cryptocurrency business, a sector that was absent from its revenue streams in the first half of 2023. Despite this revenue surge, the company continues to operate at a loss, with a net loss of HK$90.22 million. Basic and diluted loss per share was HK0.55 cents, compared to HK0.86 cents year-over-year.
