China Coal Energy: February production mixed, briefing scheduled

China Coal Energy (HKEX: 1898) reported mixed production and sales data for February 2025. Commercial coal production slightly decreased by 1.7% year-over-year to 1,024 thousand tonnes, while sales volume fell by 4.4% to 1,747 thousand tonnes. Polyethylene production saw an 11.9% decrease, and polypropylene production fell by 12.3%. Urea production decreased by 13.4% year-over-year, while methanol production increased by 2.5%. Despite the fluctuations, ammonium nitrate production jumped by 32.1%. The company is also planning a collective annual results briefing on March 24, 2025, to discuss the 2024 results.
