BOC Aviation announces record profit, final dividend, auditor change

BOC Aviation (HKEX: 2588) announced record financial results for the year ended December 31, 2024, with net profit after tax rising 21% to US$924 million. The company’s board has recommended a final dividend of US$0.2670 per share, pending shareholder approval at the AGM on May 29, 2025, bringing the total dividend for the year to US$0.4658 per share. Total revenue reached US$2.6 billion, while assets rose to US$25.1 billion. The company cited strong passenger travel demand and strategic debt financing as drivers for success. BOC Aviation also announced that PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP (PwC) will retire, and the Board, on Audit Committee recommendation, proposes to appoint Ernst & Young LLP (EY) as the new auditor, subject to shareholder approval at the annual meeting. This transition aims to align with market conditions and business needs. The next annual general meeting is scheduled to be held on May 29, 2025.
