Prudential plc executes share buyback on London Stock Exchange

Prudential plc (HKEX:2378) announced it has purchased 1,000,000 of its ordinary shares at a price ranging from GBP 7.2820 and GBP 7.4940. The buyback was executed on the London Stock Exchange through Barclays Securities Limited, in accordance with shareholder authorization from the 2024 Annual General Meeting and a prior agreement with Barclays. The average price paid per share was GBP 7.3648. The company intends to cancel these purchased shares, resulting in a total of 2,628,947,013 shares in issue and a corresponding number of voting rights. This on-exchange transaction adheres to both London Stock Exchange rules and the Hong Kong Code on Share Buy-backs.
