Metallurgical Corporation director Zhou resigns, committee changes announced

Metallurgical Corporation of China Ltd. (HKEX:1618) announced the resignation of independent non-executive director Mr. Zhou Jichang, effective March 12, 2025. Zhou's departure, triggered by his six-year tenure limit under relevant regulations, also results in his stepping down from the Finance and Audit Committee, the Nomination Committee (as chairman), and the Remuneration and Appraisal Committee. The company acknowledged Mr. Zhou's contributions during his term. Concurrently, Ms. Zhou Guoping, another independent non-executive director, has been appointed as the new chairlady of the Nomination Committee and a member of the Remuneration and Appraisal Committee, effective the same date and lasting until the end of the Board's third session.
