Shanghai Electric appoints Zhu Zhaokai as new president

Shanghai Electric Group Company Limited (HKEX: 2727) announced significant changes to its senior management and board committee on March 4, 2025. Mr. Zhu Zhaokai has been appointed as the new president of the Company, succeeding Ms. Tong Liping, while Dr. Hu Xupeng has been named vice president. Both appointments are effective from the date of board approval and last until the current senior management term expires. Additionally, Mr. Zhu has been elected to the strategic committee of the Board and will also serve as an authorized representative. The outgoing president Ms. Tong has confirmed no disagreements with the Board, with the Board expressing its appreciation for her contributions. The Company's authorized representatives are now Dr. Wu Lei and Mr. Zhu, with Ms. Fu Min as the alternative.
