Samsonite International changes corporate name to Samsonite Group S.A.

Samsonite Group S.A. (HKEX: 1910) announced today the completion of its corporate name change from Samsonite International S.A., effective January 23, 2025. The name change received shareholder approval at an Extraordinary General Meeting. The Chinese name has also been updated to “新秀麗集團有限公司”. The Certificate of Registration of Alternation of Name was issued in Hong Kong on February 27, 2025. The company clarified that the change will not impact shareholder rights, daily operations, or the financial position of the Group. Existing share certificates remain valid, and no exchange for new certificates is planned. The English and Chinese short names for trading on the Stock Exchange will remain unchanged. New share certificates bearing the updated name will be issued for any subsequent share issuances starting March 7, 2025.
