Prudential plc buys back shares on London Stock Exchange

Prudential plc (HKEX:2378) announced it repurchased 400,000 of its ordinary shares at a volume-weighted average price of GBP 7.2403 per share on February 28, 2025. The shares, bought through Barclays Securities Limited, will be cancelled, reducing the total number of shares in issue to 2,632,477,141. The buyback occurred on the London Stock Exchange. The company already repurchased shares on February 27, 2025, and has a program set to last until March 30, 2025. The buyback is authorized under a mandate granted on May 23, 2024, allowing for the repurchase of up to 274,967,019 shares. A total of 120,764,876 shares have been repurchased under the mandate so far.
