Weihai City Commercial Bank rebrands, changes name and logo

Weihai City Commercial Bank (HKEX: 9677) has officially rebranded, changing its name to Weihai Bank Co., Ltd., effective February 26, 2025. The name change follows shareholder approval at an extraordinary general meeting in December 2024 and subsequent approval from the National Financial Regulatory Administration Shandong Office. Along with the name change, the bank has also unveiled a new logo, which will be implemented across its website and corporate documents. Existing share certificates bearing the former logo will remain valid. The Bank will perform the necessary procedures at the Hong Kong Companies Registry and further announcements will be made regarding the completion of such registration in due course. Amendments to the Articles of Association also took effect from February 21, 2025, following regulatory approval.
