Tien Phong Plastic fined for customs tax violation

Tien Phong Plastic Joint Stock Company (Tien Phong Plastic JSC) announced on November 28, 2025, that it received an administrative penalty decision from the Hai Phong Port Customs Sub-Department - Area 2. The penalty, dated November 26, 2025, was issued for declaring an incorrect tax rate on imported goods, resulting in an underpayment of tax discovered during an inspection.

The core penalty involves a fine of 20% of the under-declared tax amount related to customs declaration number 107333219010/A11, dated August 7, 2025. This amounts to a fine of 88,084,802 VND (calculated as 20% of 440,424,009 VND). No additional penalties were imposed, and the corrective measure of requiring the payment of the deficient tax was not applied, as Tien Phong Plastic JSC had already settled the outstanding tax amount of 440,424,009 VND on October 10, 2025.

The decision takes effect on November 26, 2025. Chu Van Phuong, the legal representative and general director of Tien Phong Plastic JSC, is responsible for implementing the decision. The company has the right to appeal or initiate administrative lawsuits against this decision.
