Sametel seeks shareholder approval for strategic business adjustments

Sametel Corporation has announced it is collecting written feedback from shareholders on several key strategic proposals, with a submission deadline of November 10, 2025, at 12:00 PM. The proposals include a significant restructuring of the company's business activities, such as reducing certain registered business lines to align with foreign investment regulations and expanding into new areas. Specifically, the company aims to remove several sectors like retail of computers and telecommunication equipment, wholesale of agricultural raw materials, and electricity transmission, while refining other business categories.

Shareholders will also vote on a change of the company's head office from its current location in Long Thanh Industrial Park, Dong Nai, to one of two proposed addresses in Hanoi: either the Millennium Tower or Rox Tower. Furthermore, Sametel plans to engage in securities investment, encompassing the purchase, holding, and transfer of stocks, bonds, and fund certificates, with a maximum investment limit of 70% of its total assets. The company also seeks to augment its budget for investments and mergers in high-tech enterprises, new material patents, IOT, and AI, with each transaction not exceeding 50% of total assets.

Lastly, the company is seeking approval for a property acquisition: land use rights and ownership of a house at 31-33 Street No. 18, Ward 08, Go Vap District, Ho Chi Minh City, from DH ASSET, with an investment not exceeding VND 43,000,000,000. This proposed acquisition's value surpasses 35% of the company's total assets, based on the unaudited semi-annual financial report for 2025.
