Mien Trung Power's Q3 profit falls despite revenue growth

Mien Trung Power Investment and Development Joint Stock Company reported Q3 2025 profit after tax of VND 13,635,086,246, a decrease of VND 26,539,901,961 compared to Q3 2024. Despite this, the company saw an increase in gross revenue from sales of merchandise and rendering of services, reaching VND 28,472,619,611 in Q3 2025, up from VND 17,623,482,941 in Q3 2024.

The company attributed the lower Q3 2025 profit to receiving significant dividends from its subsidiary in Q3 2024, which boosted that period's profit, whereas Q3 2025 did not include such income. Although the volume of electricity produced in Q3 2025 was higher than in Q3 2024, the absence of this large dividend income led to the reported decrease in overall profit.

As of September 30, 2025, total assets for Mien Trung Power stood at VND 353,093,621,271, down from VND 374,111,610,611 at the beginning of the year. The company's short-term financial investments, primarily held-to-maturity deposits, increased to VND 65,940,000,000 from VND 51,150,000,000. Cash and cash equivalents significantly decreased to VND 5,752,345,362 from VND 45,528,872,836 over the same period.
