Lam Dong Food sanctioned for tax violations, faces significant penalties

Lam Dong Food Joint Stock Company (VDL) has been sanctioned for administrative tax violations, as announced on October 29, 2025. The decision, issued by the Lam Dong Provincial Tax Department on October 27, 2025, outlines penalties for incorrect tax declarations. The company's head office is located at 31 Ngo Van So, Lam Vien-Da Lat Ward, Lam Dong Province.

The violations include incorrect declarations that did not lead to a shortfall in corporate income tax (TNDN) but were recorded in accounting books, and incorrect declarations that resulted in a shortfall of value-added tax (GTGT). The fines imposed are VND 13,000,000 for the TNDN-related violation and a 20% penalty on the under-declared TNDN and personal income tax (TNCN) for the GTGT-related violation.

Consequently, Lam Dong Food is required to pay VND 30,531,628 in GTGT tax arrears and VND 3,861,907 in late payment interest, totaling VND 53,499,860, including fines. The company is also instructed to adjust its recorded losses downward by VND 5,992,604,348, with adjustments of VND 1,156,328,154 for 2021 and VND 4,836,276,194 for 2023.
