Vinacomin - Mong Duong Coal’s Q3 2025 profit drops on higher costs

Vinacomin - Mong Duong Coal Joint Stock Company (MDC) announced a significant reduction in its after-tax profit for the third quarter of 2025, reaching VND 4,869,266,259. This represents a decrease of VND 4,042,984,897 compared to the VND 8,912,251,156 reported in Q3 2024. The primary reason cited for this decline is a 12.9% increase in the cost of goods sold, which rose by VND 61,561,515,606 to VND 538,996,542,383 in Q3 2025 from VND 477,435,026,777 in Q3 2024.

Despite the profit decline, the company’s net revenue from sales and service provision for Q3 2025 increased to VND 582,621,956,850, up from VND 527,470,822,171 in the same period last year. Year-to-date, net revenue reached VND 2,047,597,785,352. The company also reported total assets of VND 968,033,435,956 as of September 30, 2025, with owner's equity at VND 304,522,993,383.
