Ben Thanh Water Supply reports Q3 2025 net profit decline

Ben Thanh Water Supply Joint Stock Company reported a net profit after tax of VND 12,053,098,776 for Q3 2025, a decrease of VND 2,668,310,583 compared to Q3 2024. This decline was largely attributed to an 80,405 m³ reduction in water consumption, leading to a VND 1,575,713,282 drop in revenue from sales of goods and services, despite a slight increase in average selling price.

Operating profit also saw a notable decrease of VND 3,317,642,488. This was influenced by increased selling expenses (VND 3,792,929,264 due to pipeline repairs) and higher general and administrative expenses (VND 1,607,874,864 from outsourced services). Despite these factors, the company saw a positive impact from a VND 2,037,192,586 increase in gross profit due to effective water loss control measures.

Other income increased by VND 350,261,502 from environmental protection and wastewater service fees, while finance expenses decreased by VND 64,530,436 due to reduced loan principals. Overall, the total accounting profit before tax decreased by VND 3,335,388,229.
