SCI E&C fined over 1.8 billion dong for tax violations

The Hanoi Tax Department has issued a decision imposing an administrative penalty on SCI E&C Joint Stock Company for various tax violations. The company faces a total fine of 401,631,482 dong for errors including incorrect tax declarations leading to underpaid Corporate Income Tax (CIT) and Personal Income Tax (PIT), and incorrect timing of invoice issuance. These violations relate to tax periods in 2023 and 2024, with an aggravating circumstance noted for repeated violations concerning incorrect declarations and invoice timing.

In addition to the monetary fine, SCI E&C is required to pay back a total of 1,367,907,411 dong in outstanding taxes, comprising 1,198,139,910 dong in CIT and 169,767,501 dong in PIT. The company also faces a late payment interest charge of 104,386,211 dong, calculated up to September 25, 2025, for overdue CIT and PIT. All associated costs for implementing these corrective measures will be borne by SCI E&C, with the total financial obligation for the company amounting to 1,873,925,104 dong. The company has ten days from the receipt of the decision to make the payments.
