Dong A Paint sees profit surge 237% in first half 2025

Dong A Paint Joint Stock Company reported a consolidated net profit after tax of VND 16,781 billion for the first six months of 2025, marking a 236.8% increase compared to VND 4,982 billion in the same period last year. This significant growth is primarily attributed to a rise in net revenue from sales of goods and services, which reached VND 127,758 billion, up 15.2% from VND 110,942 billion in the previous year.

Financial income also saw a sharp increase, reaching VND 12,343 billion from VND 15,931 billion year-on-year. This was largely due to the reversal of goodwill amortization expenses previously recognized at its divested subsidiary, S’Capital Joint Stock Company. Total accounting profit before tax surged by 273.9% to VND 16,578 billion.

The reviewed financial statements include adjustments such as offsetting internal revenue/cost of goods sold, reclassification of selling and general & administrative expenses, and a redetermination of current and deferred corporate income tax expenses. These adjustments contributed to the reported differences from the unaudited Q2/2025 figures.
