Cotana Group's half-year profit surges to VND 24.7bn on strong sales

Cotana Group Joint Stock Company announced a substantial increase in its net profit after tax for the first half of 2025, reaching VND 24,740,845,903, up from VND 10,060,618,345 in the same period of 2024. This marks a VND 14,680,227,558 increase year-over-year. The primary driver for this growth is the higher gross profit from goods sold and services, which rose by VND 25,612,748,623 to VND 70,574,276,744.

However, the company also saw an increase in financial expenses, climbing by VND 6,797,257,176 to VND 12,548,525,033. Selling expenses also rose significantly, by VND 7,207,132,400 to VND 17,543,826,196. Despite these increased expenditures, other income contributed positively, with a gain of VND 5,435,130,877.

The net profit after tax for the first half of 2025, after review, decreased by VND 1,295,850,949 compared to pre-audit figures. This discrepancy is mainly attributed to an increase in general and administrative expenses, which saw an additional VND 1,510,418,120 in provisions.
