Alpha Seven sees mixed first-half profits, strategic moves

Alpha Seven Group Joint Stock Company announced its reviewed half-yearly financial statements for 2025, revealing a VND12.801 billion (36.02%) increase in separate profit after corporate income tax (CIT) compared to prior review. This rise was primarily driven by a VND17.981 billion decrease in financial expenses, stemming from provisions for impairment of financial investments in subsidiaries, despite a VND5.179 billion (8.21%) decrease in financial income. The company also saw a VND42.817 billion surge in separate profit after CIT compared to H1 2024, attributed to a 15.29% increase in sales and service revenue and a VND53.796 billion increase in financial income.

Conversely, consolidated profit after CIT decreased by VND9.422 billion (23.41%) after review, due to a 4.89% increase in cost of goods sold and a 63.35% decrease in financial income from subsidiary activities. Consolidated profit after CIT also saw a VND27.138 billion decrease compared to H1 2024, despite a VND283 billion increase in sales and service revenue. This decline was influenced by decreased profit before tax at subsidiaries, higher CIT expenses for subsidiaries, and increased deferred tax liabilities from eliminating provisions for financial investment in subsidiaries.

In strategic developments, the board of management approved the issuance of shares for dividends, an additional public offering, and the transfer of shares in Duc Long Dak Nong BOT and BT Joint Stock Company on August 7, 2025. Additionally, on August 5, 2025, the company approved a VND90 billion capital contribution to establish Tay Nguyen Green Energy Joint Stock Company, holding 90% of its charter capital.
