SCI E&C reports half-year 2025 loss, details major transactions

SCI E&C Joint Stock Company disclosed its reviewed interim separate financial statements for the period of January 1 to June 30, 2025. The company reported a profit after corporate income tax of (VND 11,892,258,737), a significant decrease from the profit of VND 4,960,441,879 in the same period of 2024. This represents a 339.74% change and a shift from profit to loss. This decline is attributed to new construction projects, leading to reduced revenue and cost of goods sold.

Financial income increased due to foreign exchange gains from overseas activities, while financial expenses rose due to increased interest and foreign exchange losses. Other profits decreased due to income from warranty provision reversals in 2024.

The company also reported several transactions exceeding 35% of its total assets in 2025. These include a joint venture agreement for the Nam Mo 2 Hydropower Project (67% of total assets), a loan contract with BIDV – Ha Dong branch (59% of total assets), a joint venture agreement for the Nam Sam 3A Hydropower Project (88% of total assets), and a joint venture agreement for the Nam Mo 1 Hydropower Project (104.4% of total assets). All transactions have specified completion dates ranging from April 2023 to October 2024.
