National Citizen Bank reports huge profit growth in first half 2025

NCB reported a profit after tax of VND 459.6 bn for the first half of 2025, a significant surge compared to VND 1.4 bn in the same period of 2024. This represents a growth of over 32,219.7%. The increase is primarily attributed to the bank's focus on developing credit in advantageous segments, intensified bad debt handling measures, and improved credit quality.

Net interest income for the first six months of 2025 reached over VND 1,261.4 bn, marking an increase of more than 155.2% compared to the same period in 2024. Additionally, income from service activities and foreign exchange trading saw growth rates of 98.3% and 47.5%, respectively, further diversifying the bank's revenue streams.

The consolidated profit after tax for the first six months of 2025 also rose to VND 462.2 bn, up from VND 6.0 bn in the corresponding period of 2024, reflecting a robust growth rate of 7,555.4%. These results align with the bank's Restructuring Plan for 2023-2025 and orientation toward 2030, approved by competent authorities.
