Vietnam Maritime Development fined for tax violations in Hai Phong, Quang Ninh

Vietnam Maritime Development JSC (VMS) has received two administrative penalty decisions for tax violations. The first, from the Hai Phong City Tax Department, dated August 19, 2025, imposed a total fine of VND14,200,000. This penalty stems from the company's failure to submit personal income tax declarations for March, April, and July 2024 within the prescribed deadlines, with delays ranging from 2 to 56 days. The Hai Phong authority noted aggravating circumstances due to repeat offenses.

The second penalty, from the Quang Ninh Provincial Tax Department, dated August 20, 2025, fined the company's Quang Ninh branch VND3,500,000. This was for submitting its value-added tax declaration for Q2 2025 seven days late. Both penalties were issued under regulations concerning administrative penalties for tax and invoice violations.
