Subaru Enterprise revises forecast after ¥937m antitrust loss

Subaru Enterprise reported a ¥937 million extraordinary loss for the third quarter of the fiscal year ending January 2026. This loss is attributed to potential antitrust violations in road cleaning service bids, following an on-site inspection by the Japan Fair Trade Commission on September 30, 2025. This special loss has prompted a revision of the consolidated business forecasts.

The revised forecasts project full-year consolidated net income attributable to shareholders of the parent company to decrease by 35.4% to ¥2,092 million, from the initial estimate of ¥3,029 million. Earnings per share are now expected to be ¥162.18, down from ¥234.87. Operating revenue, operating profit, and ordinary profit remain unchanged from the previous forecast, at ¥29,329 million, ¥4,505 million, and ¥4,528 million respectively.

Despite the setback, the company's third-quarter consolidated results show a net income attributable to shareholders of the parent company of ¥1,513 million. Total assets for the period increased to ¥42,123,598 thousand, and total liabilities rose to ¥5,984,772 thousand. The company’s dividend forecast of ¥40.00 for the second and fourth quarters, totaling ¥80.00 for the year, remains unchanged.
