John Cockerill India appoints Frederic Rene Martin as managing director

John Cockerill India Limited (JCIL) announced today it has received approval from the Central Government for the appointment of Frederic Rene Martin as its managing director. The approval, granted under Section 196 read with Schedule V of the Companies Act, 2013, was communicated via email on December 9, 2025.

Martin will serve a three-year term, effective from August 1, 2025, to July 31, 2028. This follows an application made by the company on September 23, 2025, seeking government approval for his appointment and remuneration. The appointment is conditional upon Martin holding a valid employment visa throughout his tenure in India.

The Central Government's approval also stipulates that Martin must undertake not to become interested in or concerned with any selling agency of the company, either directly or indirectly through family, without prior government approval.
